What size should I print for home decor?

Many of our home decor printables are available in standard frame sizes to fit whatever frame size you'd like: 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 8.5x11, or 11x14.

If you'd like to print at a different size than available, most prints can be scaled to fit any size smaller than the original, though some cropping may occur at different print ratios.

Higher resolution larger files may be scaled to these sizes without additional cropping:

  • 18x24 (3:4 ratio) - scales to 12x16, 9x12, 6x8
  • 16x20 (4:5 ratio) - scales to 8x10 and 4x5
For home printing, you can use the percentage scale print setting to approximate print sizes to print PDFs at smaller sizes, with some cropping:
  • 11x14 - print at 78.5% for 8.5x11, 73% for 8x10, 50% for 5x7, 43% for 4x6
  • 8.5x11  - print at 94.5% for 8x10, 64% for 5x7, 55% for 4x6
  • 8x10 - print at 70% for 5x7, 60% for 4x6

We love the convenience of printing at home on our Canon iP8720 printer (which allows for 13"x19” borderless prints) and Canon TS9521C printer (which prints borderless up to 12"x12" prints). Printing on matte photo paper gives us professional quality results at a very affordable price.

How can I display printable art in my home?

Our home decor printables make for the fastest and easiest way to decorate your walls -- just download, print, and frame in the picture frame of your choice!

If you're looking for alternatives to framing art, we love mounting prints on boards (framed or unframed) or, for smaller prints, using an easy DIY desktop photo stand to display photos and art prints.

We've also collected more than 50 creative ways to display art printables and photos in a post on our blog here

The colors on my printable don't look the same as in the photos or on my computer screen. Why?

Each computer screen and printer has a specific color calibration, which may cause differences between what you see in our product photos, what you see on your computer screen, and what the printable looks like after it's printed.

Additionally, ink levels in a home printer or automatic correction services from a photo printer can impact color output. We recommend selecting the option to NOT color correct the images when using professional printers.
